Wingfield
Some of the many good setters bred by Dr Leon Mortensen.

Wingfield Winterbreeze on set. Breeze was Novice Dog of the Year 2001 (of any breed) in New Zealand. She is a very stylish dog who also gave some good pups in Leon’s X-litter.

Wingfield Velvet (Berryfield Digger – Wingfield Token), litter sister of Wingfield Viktor. Velvet gave a good litter with “Woody” including Winterbreeze, Wag, Will and Warrior.

Wingfield Pride (Sharnberry Quin – FTCh Wingfield Kandy) was one of the strong male dogs to come out of the kennel.

Wingfield Intrigue (Wingfield Gunman – Wingfield Annie) one of the best dogs Leon bred. Intrigue was linebred on the old NZ bloodlines (the North Auckland pheasant dogs), and she among else won the New Zealand Championships in 1984.

Wingfield Xtra (Berryfield Garth – Wingfield Winterbreeze) -here at 7 months old in December 2001. In October 2002 she won the North Island Championship, and in August 2003 she won the last trial Leon competed in. She is now owned by Ian Hendren, Game Ridge kennels.

Grand FTCh FCh Wingfield Token (Game Ridge Balas – Wingfield Lace), was the most winning gundog in New Zealand ever.
